The Volkswagen Golf is further renewed with the latest version which amazes with its design and performance
In 2024, the latest restyling of the Volkswagen Golf eighth generation. We now know with certainty that it was the final model of the historic German car with a combustion engine. VW leaders have already announced that the Golf of the future will only be full electric and will probably move towards a fusion with the ID.3, the top model of the electric range.
Volkswagen, given the low demand for BEVs, has started cutting the prices of these models in recent months, in the hope that sales will start to grow.
In the meantime, however, the old Golf still has something to prove, and it has been announced the arrival of the most powerful version ever, equipped with a frightening four-cylinder. Let’s find out all the details of the new car from the Wolfsburg house.
Volkswagen, the GTI Clubsport will be a monster
In just a few days, Volkswagen will delight enthusiasts by unveiling a dream model. It will be revealed on May 31st the new GTI Clubsporta great swansong for the German company’s car with its debut on the track, with a racing version, at the historic 24 hours of the Nurburgring, scheduled for next weekend on the Green Hell.
Certainly not a simple baptism of fire given the importance of the race and the difficulties of the historic route, over 20 kilometers long.
At the moment, the Wolfsburg brand has not yet provided official technical details on the new model, but we already know something. For example, it will be equipped by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which, in the past, produced 296 horsepower. This was the maximum power that was produced by the previous model but, according to rumours, the latest version equipped with the combustion engine will break through the 300 horsepower wall, and by a lot.
Furthermore, it is known that the front will be completely redesigned, with more badly shaped air intake fins, in order to seek maximum aerodynamic efficiency. The top speed of the new Volkswagen will touch 270 km/h, with a low weight of just 1,170 kg. Soon we will know more details of what will be a monstrous car to say the least that is awaited by everyone with great enthusiasm and curiosity.
