Bethesda announced i details and release date for theMay update Of Starfieldwhich will arrive on May 15th and will bring with it, among other things, the long-awaited a mode 60fps for play on Xbox Series

As explained in the developer video diary, this update represents a notable technical evolution for Starfield, bringing numerous improvements to the game in question.

The most noticeable addition is the ability to select between two graphics modes on Xbox Series Visual and Performancewith the first focusing more on resolution and details and the second focusing instead on high frame-rates and their stability.

Basically, Starfield will be able to go to 30, 40 or 60 fps on Xbox Series to also achieve superior results, but only with displays equipped with VRR.

However, the possibility of selecting between 30 and 60 fps is also present for displays that do not have it VRRbut there is the possibility of tearing emerging, the developers warn, in any case there are several options to choose from.

A new surface vehicle is also glimpsed

The priority between resolution and performance can be selected regardless of the frame-rate chosen, but if you want to focus on absolute fluidity it is preferable to keep the priority on Performance, in case you select frame-rates higher than 30.

For the rest, the May update brings a substantial update to the surfaces of the maps of Starfield, which should now appear more detailed, with the presence of clearer signals within the cities.

Other new features include additional difficulty levels to be set on different elements of the game such as ship combat, cargo transport, ground combat and more, as well as additional ship customization options.

The video also makes an explicit reference to vehicles with which to move on surfaces of the planets, as visible in the image above, which should be introduced in subsequent updates, while the Creation Kit tools for mods have meanwhile been made available to users in beta.

In other news, a release window recently emerged for Shattered Space, the first story expansion for Starfield.
