Certa Stampa – ADVICE / ANDREA CORE’S PRESENCE IS A TALKING WITH HIS DAUGHTER-IN-LAW…

Positional obstructionism, today in the Council, by the Opposition, which asked for the reading of all the changes to a tax regulation, bogging down the council session and forcing the councilor Di Padova to read – very boring – a series of abstruse technicalities . We understand the intention of the opposition, but a debilitating obstructionism is of little use and yields little. However, two politically significant moments remain from the first hour of the Council: Raiola’s useless intervention, a touch of arrogance in the sauce of nullity, and Andrea Core’s non-vote. Not an abstention, but a non-vote: at the time of the roll call, Core, although sitting in his place, did not respond. He was so presently absent that he could not consider his mistake an oversight, also because he explained to his colleagues in the majority, who asked him for reasons, “I was absent from the vote…”. An act that cannot help but be political, and which must be read – and interpreted – also in light of the imminent reshuffle, which I predict will be a decisive reset. Core then votes on the changes to the Tari regulation, but only on the second call, because by now the message had arrived for those who had to receive it (i.e. the PD of councilor Di Padova). Core talks to her daughter-in-law, so that her mother-in-law understands… but her mother-in-law understood very well, and she doesn’t seem willing to accept lessons…

It’s going to be a lively summer.
