ALPRIDE PRESENTATION
Alessandria Pride 2024 on May 25th will involve thousands of people who will gather at 5.00 pm in
C.so Crimea, corner C.so Roma, for the march through the city which will wind along Corso Roma,
Piazzetta della Lega, via dei Martiri, piazza della Libertà, Via dei Guasco which will take the procession to
Spalto Marengo. At the roundabout that marks the beginning of Viale Milite Ignoto the procession will turn left for
arrive at 7.00 pm in Carrà park where the Pride Village will await us with stalls with an offer
variety of street food for the supply of food and drinks to the participants.
At 7.00 pm from the stage the participating associations and bodies will greet and thank the public and
they will underline the reasons for Pride. This will then be followed by moments of refreshment, visits to banquets and music
till midnight. At the same time, at 11pm, the Official After Pride Party will begin at the Officina
in Largo Catania with music and entertainment until late at night.
Tessere Le Identità, together with the Pride coordination, is organizing Pride 2024 to celebrate
LGBTQIA+ pride and defend the rights of our community. Despite progress, Italy remains
behind in equal rights. The theme of Pride this year will be gender violence with the motto “it is not
time to stop” to indicate that although the political world seems to be slowing down on the rights front,
we must continue to fight to achieve equal rights and equal dignity, promoting culture,
training and information to counteract thinking anchored to now obsolete patriarchal patterns.
Pride unites those who fight for a more just society and represents a moment of pride and
of fighting for equality. Collaboration with the Municipal Administration is essential for
spread respect and equality. Moreover, this year it manifested itself particularly
profitable, thanks to co-organization, so as to concentrate our resources on other aspects
organizational. Finally, numerous companies involved in the past have once again committed themselves and supported by
new collaborations. The event has seen dedicated events take place in the previous weeks
to culture, with conferences, art and shows, contributing to social, tourist and economic value
of the city. Pride is increasingly becoming a strong impact on the community.
