GALLARATE – Le water pumps put into operation are not giving the desired results: the water continues to cause problems on the lowest floor of the Seprio Park in Gallarate, inaccessible for a few weeks now because it is constantly flooded.
The water table has risen
Blame the copious rain fallen in the last few dayssure, but mainly due to the aquifer which has risen and is also creating problems for other cellars and basements in the area. What makes the point is the mayor Andrea Cassani in his usual Monday Instagram live broadcast. “All we can do is wait for it to come down,” explains the mayor of Gallarate. “AND’ a problem that had already emerged 15 years ago, when the multi-storey building managed by our municipal company Amsc was built.” Made between 2005 and 2008, Seprio Park has always caused problems at -3 and since then no corrective measures have ever been found to the silo system that would prevent infiltration and flooding, even on sunny days.

The temporary non-use of the lower floor significantly reduced the capacity of Seprio Park. For this reason at the moment the multi-storey is closed to occasional usersto guarantee sufficient spaces for the numerous season ticket holders who otherwise would not have the guarantee of finding a free stall.
