These are some of the summary data of the operational activity of the Veneto Financial Police from January 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.
The summary was provided on the morning of 26 June by the regional commander, General Riccardo Rapanotti, on the occasion of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Fiamme Gialle corps.
In the last year and a halfthe military discovered crimes relating to tax credits for over 2.3 billion euros, reported 1,911 individuals for tax crimes (28 arrested) and seized assets worth over half a billion euros, believed to be profit from tax evasion.
On the front of the undeclared workhave been identified 5,599 people who are irregular or completely undeclared. Finally, 1.62 tons of narcotic substances were seized, especially cocaine, hashish and marijuana, with reports from 536 subjects.
«In all areas we manage to maintain very high standards of quality and quantity», said Rapanotti, «Finance is a quantitatively and qualitatively important garrison. We guarantee a perimeter protected by our presence – he continued -, which must be seen as an opportunity for growth, because it allows us to eliminate those who do not respect the rules”.
