Yesterday there wasIndie World Showcase with which Nintendo showed the indie titles available or arriving soon on Nintendo Switch. As always in these cases, theJapanese edition However, it had a different selection of titles compared to the Western one. Let’s discover them and see them all trailer.
The different games
Shanghai Summer
Already available for a few weeks, Shanghai Summer was included in Indie World for the launch of the official demo on the Nintendo Switch eShop. It is a 2D anime-style narrative adventure with the protagonist Baichuan who must face a series of anomalies, resolving some traumas from his past.
Bread & Fred
Bread & Fred is a platform puzzle game already available in the West, in which you guide two penguins tied by a fume who have to face really difficult levels. It will be released in Japan on May 23, 2024.
MACHI KORO With Everyone
Available from July 5, 2024, MACHI KORO With Everyone is the digital version of a much-loved board game in Japan. It will be playable online and offline. It is not yet clear whether it will also be released in the West.
The Exit 8
The Exit 8 launched during Indie World and is also available in the West. It is a walking simulator in which you explore the tunnels of a Japanese subway. It’s a truly thoughtful title that has had excellent feedback on PC.
Undying
Undying is a survival horror game that has already been available in the West for some time. The player controls a mother who must fight for her son to survive an apocalypse that has almost made mankind extinct. It will be released in Japan on July 25th.
Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure
Arranger is a role-playing game mixed with a puzzle game set in a blocky moving world. This is a truly particular and interesting title, due out in 2024 in Japan.
Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus
Hollow Knight News Orphans: Silksong? In the Japanese edition of Indie World, Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus was presented which seems to have several similarities with the Team Cherry title, despite having a style inspired by Japanese folklore. Interesting is the fact that the development team is made up in part of people who worked on Another Metroid 2 Remake, which have evidently become a real development team.
Sagres
Sagres is a role-playing game set at sea in which, in the role of Captain Fernando, you have to explore the world in the years around 1400, with all the problems involved. There is turn-based combat, a reputation system and the ability to customize your ship. The appearance is really classic, but it looks interesting.
A Dance of Fire and Ice
A Dance of Fire and Ice is a rhythm game that is played with a single button. Basically you have to be able to keep time by following two spheres along levels of increasing difficulty. It is already available on PC and app stores.
