Ford has officially revealed the new Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary. This is a very special package that celebrates the legacy of one of the most iconic vehicles in automotive history, which debuted in 1964 at the New York World’s Fair.

Matt Simpson, general manager of Ford Enthusiast Vehicles, said they took inspiration from the original Mustang to create this package. Furthermore, some of the most special design elements have been applied.

The 60th Anniversary package is only available for GT Premium version with 5 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine and will be offered both on the coupe that on convertible with manual or automatic transmission.

On an aesthetic level, the Mustang 60th Anniversary It boasts a dedicated plaque on the dashboard and exclusive exterior features that recall the original car that debuted in ’64. Second Stefan Taylor – senior designer of the Blue Oval, the design took direct inspiration from the silhouette of the original car.

In particular, we can see the exclusive 60th Anniversary badge on the fenders and on the trunk lid, the exclusive 20″ wheels in Dark Gravity Gray with bright details and aluminum hubcaps, the exclusive side graphics in Iconic Silver or Vermillion Red, the new front grille with exclusive mesh design, headlights with smoked housing, colors Wimbledon White, Race Red And Vapor Blue for the bodywork, the 60th Anniversary badge on the instrument panel, the Space Grey, Carmine Red and Black Onyx colors for the passenger compartment and the exterior mirror caps in Silver combined with the Race Red and Vapor Blue shades and in color with the bodywork with the Wimbledon White color.

Ford plans to offer only 1965 examples of the Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary package to pay homage to the iconic car’s first model year. It will be available to order starting since this summer while it will arrive in US dealerships during the fourth quarter. The price will be revealed in the coming weeks.
