The project
A social project that combines respect for the environment with the values that sport transmits. Not a single project but a path that continues over several seasons and with different stakeholders in the city. “Carrying out reforestation with a high social impact means taking action for climate change through communities and for their own future – explains Vanoli in a note – Reforesting where it is really needed, involving the youth sector and our partner companies in the creation and planting of the projects. We do this by responding to local needs by supporting people to resist the effects of the climate crisis. In the project we adopt regenerative agroforestry: a method that allows us to re-establish soil fertility and safeguard biodiversity by creating stable ecosystems in balance with people”.

The objective of the project is to raise awareness among the population on the topic of ecology and respect for the planet, it combines respect for the environment with the values that sport is capable of transmitting and is a path that aims at reforestation with a high social impact, that looks at climate change through the community for its own future.

In the next three years, 685 trees will be planted on 6,000 m2, with maintenance paid by the Club until 2027; activities are planned inside the forest for members, fans and sponsoring companies.

The departure

The project was started on the occasion of the challenge at PalaRadi between Vanoli Cremona and Bertram Tortona, finished 83 to 67 in favor of coach Cavina’s boys who had thus obtained a heavy victory in “green” terms since for every point scored a new tree would have been planted: 83 points which were worth 83 donated trees.
