Insta360 X4, 360° videos now reach 8K and with greater autonomy

Insta360 has launched an action camera capable of recording 360° video in 8K. It’s called X4 and it evolves in all its features compared to the 2022 X3.

In particular Insta360 X4 can go up to 8K at 30 fps for 360 videos, but it can also record at 5.7K at 60 fps. The previous X3 stopped at the latter resolution but only reached 30 fps.

Having an 8K resolution for 360° videos translates above all into the possibility of cropping areas of the film without losing too much in overall quality and details.

There is also now a removable lens protectormuch more comfortable and useful than the X3’s adhesive protectors.

360 videos in 4K can reach 100 fpswhile the X3 had to settle for 3K resolution to reach one hundred frames per second.

In single lens mode (so for non-360° videos) the X4 can record in 4K at 60 fps, compared to the 4K at 30 fps of the previous model. The shots remain at 72 MP but for the X4 there is noise reduction in the image thanks to machine learning algorithms.

Now there is also the possibility of controlling the camera with gestures, that is, without touching the screen, which has also grown in size: 2.5 inches with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Battery life has also increased, rising from 81 minutes to 81 minutes on the X3 135 minutes of the X4.

Insta360 X4 is already available in Italy at a price of 559.99 euros. The price list of the X3 is now 479.99 euros.
