Arnaldi, number 35, is in the main draw at Wimbledon for the second year in a row with the aim of making it out of the round for the first time in her career. She will make her debut against Frances Tiafoe, number 29in his seventh participation at Wimbledon where he has never gone beyond the round of 16, reached in 2022 (no precedent).
Fognini, number 94, is playing Wimbledon for the fourteenth time in his career. At the Championships he has never gone beyond the third round, having reached it on six occasions (2010, 2014, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021).starts against the Frenchman Luca Van Assche, brought back into the scoreboard as a lucky loser after the withdrawal of the German Dominik Koepfer (n.66 ATP). The 20-year-old of Belgian origins (born in Woluwe St Lambert), number 104, is his second participation in Wimbledon, where he has not yet won a match. There are no precedents between Fognini and Van Assche. Whoever wins will face Alex Bolt or Casper Ruud.
