The third edition of the Tennis Europe All Round Sport & Wellness reaches its final stage. At the end of a semi-final which gave a great spectacle to the spectators present in the stands of the All Round Sport & Wellness, the son of art Mattia Pescosolido defeated Alessandro Gallo with a score of 6-4 3-6 6-3 to win the chance to play for the title against the surprising Lorenzo Elia, who instead got the better of Luca Cosimi 6-2 0-6 6-1. In the women’s final, Sara Dalle Molle will face each other, ahead after Aurora Gibellieri’s failure, and Diana Rolli, victorious 7-6(2) 3-6 7-6(4) over Alice Iozzi. The program of the last day of the international under 16 men’s and women’s event “Category 2” will start at 9.30 am on Saturday 29 June. In the women’s doubles, Sofia Cadar and Crystal Aratari won the title over Alice Iozzi and Bianca Cascia at the end of the final which ended with the score of 6-3 6-7(4) 10/4.
Mattia Pescosolido: “Carrying this surname is not a burden” – Fresh from the semifinal played in the Under 16 of Crema, Mattia Pescosolido has achieved another prestigious result at the Tennis Europe All Round Sport & Wellness. Son and student of the former number 42 ATP, Stefano Pescosolido, the 2009 class of Sporting Milano 3, reached the final by beating Alessandro Gallo with the score of 6-4 3-6 6-3. “After a favorable start, my opponent began to find some different solutions – Mattia’s words at the end of the match –. I was a bit taken aback, but in the third set I was good at holding serve and then breaking in the eighth game that allowed me to win it. At the beginning of the week I was convinced I could do well. My goal was to at least reach the semifinal, I won one more match and I’m happy: tomorrow I’ll give it my all to win the title”. Standing between him and the final success will be Lorenzo Elia, who instead beat Luca Cosimi 6-2 0-6 6-1: “He has a very heavy ball, I know him well and it will certainly be a difficult match, but I am ready”. Accompanied in Rome by his father Stefano, Mattia aims to achieve even better results than his father, knowing that he can always count on his support: “Playing with this surname has never been a burden for me. I have always followed my brother Andrea: he played soccer and I played soccer, then he started tennis and I followed him. Dad takes me to almost all the tournaments and it is something that makes me very happy. When we are together we have fun and we compare ourselves a lot. I hope to become a little better than him, but when we train sometimes he still beats me”.
Rolli wins the marathon with Iozzi – The women’s title at the All Round Sport & Wellness will be awarded by the challenge between Diana Rolli, an athlete from CT Montecchio but Roman by birth, and Silivia Dalle Molle, who trains at CT Verde Roma. If the second team gained the pass for the last act after Aurora Gibellieri’s withdrawal, forced to withdraw due to a calf problem following the efforts of a week that began for her with the qualifiers, the first one had to come to terms with a three-hour battle to beat the home favorite Alice Iozzi with a score of 7-6(2) 3-6 7-6(4).
