Switzerland impressed me in these 3 games: in the qualifiers they had not shone particularly, despite a not impossible group. In this European Championship they changed skin: they played well in all the games, especially against Germany, where at times they were clearly superior and deserved to win. Switzerland is no longer a surprise, they are doing an excellent job. From Italy I expected something more, our individual, technical, experience and leadership limits emerged.
However, I think that the last-second goal against Croatia could be a great boost: it took a lot of pressure off you, as reigning champions, qualifying for the group was the minimum objective, elimination would have been seen as a football tragedy. Who knows, maybe this goal has given the players new impetus, morale, enthusiasm and conviction: I am convinced that we can play a great game.
