MotoGP, Jack Miller attacks KTM: “It dumped me like this”

Jack Miller is one of those MotoGP riders who still doesn’t have a seat for 2025. KTM has decided not to confirm him and, due to the poor results this season, hasn’t even moved him to the Tech3 team. He will be saying goodbye to the brand he has been riding for since 2022. To go where? A few weeks ago there was talk of contacts with Honda, which however could renew with Joan Mir; now there are rumors about Pramac and Gresini.

MotoGP, Miller disappointed by KTM

The Australian driver did not like the way the Mattighofen company treated him, first deluding him into the possibility of staying and then dumping him: “I was surprised – reports Autosportbecause the last time we spoke they told me: ‘Don’t talk to anyone, because we want to keep you in the family’. Then you get a phone call three hours before the press release is released telling you that you won’t have the contract“.

KTM had made him understand that he would have the place in the Tech3 team, but then they changed their mind. The team led by Hervé Poncharal will have Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales. Augusto Fernandez also remained on foot, but in his case no one was surprised. In reality, given the results, the lack of confirmation of Jackass is not surprising either: the problem is the way in which everything happened, but these things happen in this world.

What future for Jack?

Miller is confident he can find a good fit for the 2025 MotoGP championship and rules out the possibility of becoming a tester: “At the moment it’s all talk – explains – and it’s about evaluating what I want, what the project has to offer me. Obviously, going on a Ducati would be very interesting, because I know the bike and the structure well. I have no doubts that I can get back on that bike and be in the top five almost immediately. Being a tester? I don’t consider myself a tester, I like racing too much and I don’t enjoy testing. We’ll see in the future, now I want to race“.

The Australian feels he can be very competitive, even if with the KTM RC16 he is constantly suffering defeats from rookie Pedro Acosta. This should make him think. The joke he made to the microphones of DAZN España in reference to Fabio Quartararo was quite out of place: “There are people slower than me who still have a job. A driver came in behind me in the last grand prix and signed for 12 million dollars, so I’m sure I’ll find a job.“. Better worry about himself.
