CATANIA– Today, at the Capannine in Catania, the second stage of the 2024 Italian Absolute beach volleyball championship will start. After the success of the first Gold stage in Caorle (VE), which took place from 14 to 16 June, the spectacular event organized by Fipav comes to Sicily.

After the Gold event in Caorle, the rankings of both scoreboards have begun to move, and the Sicilian event will therefore represent a new opportunity for the competing couples to accumulate precious points in the general classification. Tomorrow will be the day dedicated to qualifications, while the main draw will take place on Saturday; The finals are scheduled for Sunday.

WOMEN’S BOARD-

The first seeded couple will be Chiara They and Sara Breidenbach, who came in third in Caorle; the second team of the tournament is Giada Benazzi and Michela Lantignotti, a team that came in second in the first Venetian stage. Team number three will be the Italians Reka Orsi Toth and Giada Bianchi, while team number four is Alice Gradini and Federica Frasca, who will wear the Gold singlet they won in mid-June in Caorle.
