After the video with advice for the amateur who goes on the track, Jonathan Rea publishes another interesting video on his YouTube channel. In fact, on the occasion of the event organized by Monster Energy with all its riders at Silverstone, SBK and MotoGP champions took turns on the track. How did the challenge go? THE CHALLENGE The one that took place was more of a philosophical challenge. On the one hand because there was nothing at stake – in fact, it was an event organized by the sponsor – and partly because the riders did not take to the track with the bikes in race configuration, on the contrary. Jonny was riding an R1 with GYTR specifications, not SBK, while Bez – Marco Bezzecchi – was on the Ducati Panigale V4 S of the VR46 Academy with which he trains, therefore an almost standard bike (if it weren’t for the V4 R fork and other unspecified details).
WHO IS STRONGER? Answering this question after watching this video would be an understatement. Jonny is a rider in difficulty – he struggles to find the feeling with this R1 – while Bez is an emerging young man who trains with the guys from VR46 and his friend Pecco Bagnaia, two-time MotoGP world champion. In short, to put it in Tuscan terms, if Rea had been it’s ‘they’ save – in a better moment of form – maybe things could have gone differentlybut at present, it may be due to the superior performance of the Panigale, it may be because it is a complicated moment, the 6-time world champion will have to lay down his weapons and let go of both Bez and Locatelli, his SBK teammate.
