“I’m a manager, it could have been annoying somewhere else”

On the occasion of the presentation press conference, Antonio Conte he also responded to a journalist’s question who asked him to comment on the statements of Zlatan Ibrahimovicone of the members of the AC Milan management.

Were you surprised by Ibrahimovic’s statements? “Absolutely not. I respect everyone, now I don’t remember exactly what he said, that he considers me more of a manager. I consider myself a manager, from a tactical, management and training point of view. I want to have a say in the matter. Maybe from another part could be annoying here”.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic in fact, last June 14, on the occasion of Paolo Fonseca’s announcement, he explained the reason for not approaching Conte: “Why not Conte? First we studied the type of coach and the approach to his game. Paulo Fonseca came out and we spoke to him face to face; so you feel it, you have a feeling; he is very ambitious, he has a great desire to work, to do well and to improve. In Milan there is a coach, not a manager that we put in, with all due respect to him, there wasn’t what we were looking for in him.”
