Both teams won their respective inter-regional championships: Roma under coach Mattia Scala, son of the Giallorossi team manager Vito, is in their twelfth Under 15 final having beaten Venice, Juventus (eliminated due to the best ranking) and Inter while Genoa under coach Jacopo Sbravati, who has never reached this far with this youth team, reached the final after overcoming Lazio, Palermo and Milan. Roma-Genoa kick-off at 8pm from the Del Duca stadium in Ascoli.
