Tuesday’s matches at the European Football Championships

Four matches will be played at the men’s European football championships on Tuesday 25 June, the last two in group C and group D. At 6pm there are France-Poland and Holland-Austria: a draw is enough for France and Holland to qualify for the round of 16, but also to Austria, because if they drew they would already be third-placed better than the third-placed teams in groups A and B. At 9pm Denmark-Serbia and England-Slovenia will be played, in a group still open, in which all four teams can still reach between the first two.

6pm
France-Poland [Dortmund – diretta tv su Sky e Now]
Netherlands-Austria [Berlino – diretta tv su Rai 2, Sky e Now]

9pm
Denmark-Serbia [Monaco di Baviera – diretta tv su Sky e Now]
England-Slovenia [Colonia – diretta tv su Rai 1, Sky e Now]

England and France are considered the two strongest teams of these European Championships, but in the first two matches they were not particularly convincing. They both got a win and a draw but didn’t play very well, especially considering the level of talent they have in their team. In particular, England and their coach Gareth Southgate were quite criticized for playing an uncourageous game. Despite this, however, with a victory England would close the group in first place, while France to finish first must win and hope that Holland does not beat Austria.
