I’m waiting for the Virtus, but I’m also looking around

Awudu Abass, winger of Virtus Bologna and the national team, talks about himself in Corriere dello Sport. Here are three steps:

ABOUT THE SEASON

«I’m really proud of myself and what I’ve managed to do. Also because, in moments of greatest difficulty, I relied on my strength and almost no one gave me a hand. Right in one of the first episodes of my blog, it seems like the second, I said: this year I’m going to rock! I was sure I would do well and so it was.”

ON GROWTH

«No, I don’t think about others. Reality says that at the beginning of the season I was one of the last on the roster, even in plain clothes in the first Euroleague. In game 4 for the championship I started in the quintet. In short, I climbed the mountain. I am tenacious and it is a gift that my mother gave me. Every training session, every minute I play is a challenge for me, because I’m competitive. I’m not arrogant but I always want to give my best. If I have to thank someone I think of the fans, always fantastic”

ON THE FUTURE

«I’m waiting for Virtus as soon as they decide to come to me. In the meantime, however, I look around. My contract expires on June 30th and I can’t risk being without a team by waiting.”
