MONTALTO DORA – With the arrival of the beautiful season, Jupiter Pluvio’s tantrums permitting, it is also time for football and five-a-side football tournaments in the Canavese area. FC Ares won the third «Malisan Luciano» Memorial. The event was organized by Rudy Santin and Mirko Garau.
The event took place during the Montalto Dora Sports Festival, organized by Pallavolo Montalto. There were 32 teams at the starting line for a total of 64 games. The matches were played from 8 to 16 June 2024 in the two 5-a-side football pitches of the local sports facility. The turnout of the public was incredible, despite the rain that characterized some of the evenings of the tournament.
In the final, FC Ares prevailed 2-1 over Muchachos. On the third step of the podium were the Maestri delle Case, who won 7-2 over Atletico Bellamista in the final for third-fourth place. The award for the best player of the Malisan Luciano Memorial went to Matteo Giusti (Muchachos FC). Best goalkeeper of the tournament Edoardo Paonessa, who defended the posts of Atletico Bellamista. Michele Mosca of Muchachos FC became top scorer with 21 goals. Atletico Bellamista won the battle of logos.
