Juve, Rabiot in Real Madrid’s sights: the point

The soap opera continues: exactly ten days before his contract expires, Adrien Rabiot still hasn’t given his verdict on his possible stay at Juve. Indeed, between silences and evasive responses he postponed the deadlines for responding to the club’s proposal which he himself had initially set for before the European Championship. This time the sirens do not come from Saudi Arabia or the Premier League but from La Liga, and in particular from Real Madrid which is increasingly shaping up as a French colony with Mbappé, Tchouameni, Camavinga and Mendy already present in the squad.

the situation

The Spanish club is looking for the heir of the 34-year-old Kroos, who will say goodbye to football after the European Championship, while Rabiot is distinguishing himself in the tournament underway in Germany, where in the only match played so far he was the protagonist of the victory of France against Austria. A match in which he “benched” Real Madrid’s midfield, with Camavinga and Tchouameni watching the Duke’s performance from the outside. On the second day, tomorrow, France will meet the Netherlands and on Tuesday they will face Poland. And meanwhile Rabiot underlines that he “doesn’t know where he will play next year” but that it “doesn’t worry him”. Good for him, a little less so for Juve.

Juventus here

And Juve, precisely? Giuntoli had offered the mother-agent Madame Veronique a two-year contract with an option for the third year at figures similar to the current ones, therefore around 7.5 million, but the response has not yet arrived. The Juventus club intends to wait a few more days but a plan B is already ready which brings in Fofana from Monaco, highly appreciated and not only in Turin (Milan and Atletico are also interested in him) as well as Khephren Thuram, now at Nice, brother smaller than Inter player Marcus. In the meantime, the official announcement of Thiago Motta has also arrived, who Rabiot has known since his time at PSG and for whom he had words of praise, calling him “an excellent choice” for Juve. But which apparently will not be decisive in the choice regarding his future: “He has his career to continue, I have mine, so we’ll see.” And the soap opera continues.
