Josep Martinez is one step away from Inter: the Nerazzurri club is about to finalize an agreement with Genoa for the goalkeeper
Now only the last details remain to be resolved but Josep Martinez is to be considered virtually a new Inter player. The Spanish goalkeeper, in fact, will join the Nerazzurri on the basis of an agreement between Inter and Genoa for 15 million euros plus Oristanio’s contract, on which the two clubs are discussing a future buy-back.
Inter, as Corriere dello Sport underlines, made a move on Martinez for some time once they realized that Bento was no longer within reach. “Contacts between the Nerazzurri club and Genoa are increasingly frequent and even yesterday the channel between the parties remained open. In short, no one would be surprised if the decisive one were to take place in the next few hours. The acceleration dates back to last week , when, in fact, the Bento track was put aside: Athletico Paranaense began to shoot high, beyond the 20 million euros set as the limit by Marotta and Ausilio, so, at that point it was inevitable to pass to plan B. For which, moreover, some concrete steps had already been taken”, the newspaper’s comment.
