The long summer of rugby test matches starts this weekend, with three advances compared to the Summer Series which will be played in July. Two matches are scheduled for Saturday and will see two of the protagonists of the last Six Nations on the field, namely England and Wales.
The English will make their debut in Tokyo against Japan. Kick-off at 7.50 am Italian time at the Japan National Stadium for Steve Borthwick’s team against the Japanese. With Ford and Farrell out, the British director’s seat will be given to Marcus Smith, while among the other names that stands out is Cunningham-South, starting on the third line for the first time.
At 3pm, at Twickenham, there will be a high-level match between the world champions South Africa and Wales, with the British looking for a result to revive a difficult period. Warren Gatland chooses a very young team, where debutant Ellis Bevan stands out in midfield at number 9. Two debutants on the pitch from the start for South Africa too, with Jordan Hendrikse at number 10 and Edwill van der Merwe on the wing .
