In the toughest test of the Tour de Pance only six reached the finish line – La Busa

On the evening of June 12th, under one of the many downpours of this early summer, around twenty Tour de Pance characters met to challenge each other in one of the toughest, but also most beautiful and adventurous, tests of the entire event.
“The night of the escapees”, this is the title given to the stage which started at 9pm and ended (for those who managed it) at 8am the following morning. Immediately in the first hour, the one most affected by the rain, there were the first excellent retirements, such as the yellow jersey and others who gave up on continuing, totally soaked in water from head to toe. Around midnight, after the group had already thinned out further, the weather improved, and then the veterans headed towards Troiana, also finding shelter and then continuing north. At 7 in the morning in Riva del Garda, in front of the Rocca, after having faced a hundred kilometres, only six daredevils decided to finish the stage together, with sunken eyes. Some of them went straight to work while others, luckier, collapsed in their beds.
A wonderful adventure that they will remember for a long time. These are the stage winners: “El cazador” Prati, who now wears the yellow leader’s jersey, then “Enriquez” Fornasari, Mago” Marchi, “Captain Hook” Galas, “Caramdanak” Chiarani and “Sacks” Merlini.
Of note is the participation of the entire family of one of the characters, while it is very likely that the others, rightly, were locked out of their homes by their respective families, but with the Tour de Pance it is like this…
