France: Mbappè at the European Football Championships is as worrying as Dupont at the Rugby World Cup

In France we are experiencing hours of apprehension, in the Rugby World Cup 2023 style, but this time the event under the spotlight is that of the 2024 European Football Championships, which are being held in Germany.

Mbappe is as worrying at the European Football Championships as Dupont is at the Rugby World Cup

During the first match played by Didier Deschamps’ men, who are among the favorites for the final victory of the event (won 1-0 over Austria, thanks to an own goal), Kylian Mbappé suffered a fracture of the nasal septum, involuntarily recalling the ghosts of the maxillozygomatic fracture suffered by Antoine Dupont in the first phase match of the Rugby World Cup 2023 against Namibia.

The injuries are of two different entities, so much so that “conservative therapy” was chosen for Mbappé, i.e. the desire not to operate on him, but to protect the player’s face with a mask.

And the mask itself became the “point of contact” between the future Real Madrid player and the national team’s scrum half.

Under Mbappè’s tweet “Some mask ideas…”, made ironically by the attacker, Dupont himself enjoyed commenting by writing: “Private message for a promo code, I have some ideas. Best of luck above all.”

Even funnier, from this ironic and joking point of view, is the response of the French Ruggy Federation, which replied to Mbappè’s tweet by posting a photo of Imanol Harinordoquy, who played a match with his Biarritz with a very particular mask.
