Bradley Wiggins lost everything after bankruptcy: he is currently living on a friend’s couch

Bradley Wiggins he is penniless, homeless and sleeps on the couches of friends and family. This is the shocking news that has just arrived from England from the voice of lawyer Alan Sellers during an interview given to Daily Mail. The former professional cyclist, winner of eight Olympic medals in his career and of the 2012 Tour de France, officially declared bankruptcy last week and was forced to sell all his assets, including his homes, his trophies and his precious medals.

“Actually Brad move from one sofa to another, he is staying at the house of friends or family – the lawyer Alan Sellers recently told the Daily Mail – I don’t know where he was last night and I don’t know where he will be staying tonight or tomorrow night. He has no fixed address… it’s a total mess. He really lost everything, his family home, his house in Mallorca, all his savings and investments. He doesn’t have a penny left. This is a very sad economic situation.”

The financial problems for the 44-year-old Briton began in 2020, when his company Wiggins Rights Limited entered voluntary liquidation for a sum that creditors estimated at around 300 thousand pounds. In November 2023 the news then arrived that the former pro, who retired in 2016, was risking bankruptcy for unpaid debts totaling almost £1 million. This new backstory, which highlights his current economic and social situations, was however a further shock for many fans who were hoping for Wiggins’ speedy recovery.
