The Team SD Worx Protime rider covered the distance of 39’47” ahead of a very brilliant rider by 18″ Elisa Longo Borghini and the New Zealand one is 26″. Kim Cadzow. Nice try too Gaia Realini came sixth at 1’02”.
Vollering consolidates her lead in the general classification which is now 1’26” over Longo Borghini and 1’28” over Realini. Tomorrow the Giro offers the third stage from Vevey to Champagne of 125 kilometres.
