Wimbledon is now around the corner and even the big guns are starting to get into the game. As tradition now dictates, the central week between Roland Garros and the All England Club Slam sees another historic event of the grass season, that of Queen’s: one of those events where you can breathe the history of tennis, the first edition dating back to 1884. And this year’s scoreboard reflects the history of this tournament, with a top-class parterre.

The London facility will be the scene of the first test of Carlos Alcaraz towards the assault on confirmation of the Wimbledon tournament. Last year, after a tiring debut with Arthur Rinderknech, he became increasingly aware of his abilities, to the point of winning the tournament almost without worries and arriving at the Slam at full speed, where he managed to beat Djokovic. Now the confidence is skyrocketing after the victory at Roland Garros and is preparing for the battle and the assault of the number 1 of Jannik Sinner. For the Iberian, a possible interesting test in the second round with Jack Draper, a grass specialist if there is one, and a possible quarter-final with Tommy Paul.

The central sectors are interesting, chaired above all by Grigor Dimitrov and Taylor Fritz. For the Bulgarian a road that looks bumpy with the debut with Adrian Mannarino and the second round with one of Sebastian Korda (favorite) and Karen Khachanov. The first of the two blues is inserted in the same sector, Matteo Arnaldiwho can have his say with Ugo Humbert before probably dealing with Frances Tiafoe. A little further down Fritz with a qualifier, but there will be one between on his path Cameron Norrie and Milos Raonic in the second round and a possible high-ranking challenge with Holger Rune. But watch out for Andy Murray…

Unlucky however Lorenzo Musetti, fresh from the semi-final in Stuttgart with Matteo Berrettini. For him the debut with Alex de Minaur, one that Queen’s came close to last year. In this sector another grass player like Daniel Evans and Ben Sheltonwho in Stuttgart did not impress at all with the knockout on his debut against Duckworth.
