For the third consecutive year the Uniter Rugby Championship final will be played in South Africa, for a tournament that is now increasingly focused on the Southern Hemisphere.
THE Bulls they passed Leinster by 25 to 20 in the semi-final in Pretoria, while I Glasgow Warriors against the odds they beat Munster 10 to 17.
South Africans still protagonists
THE Bulls have dominated this season, achieving the privilege of always playing the final phase at home, including the next week’s final, which will be held at Loftus Versfeld of Pretoria. After a promising start for Leinster, with the usual James Lowe opened the scoring, the South Africans overtook with the goal and the foot of Goosen.
Good start to the second half for the Bulls, with Petersen’s try in the 42nd minute, which makes it 17 to 7. The Irish close the gap with Caelan Doris and then the equalizer with Ross Byrne’s foot, which leads to 17-17 in the 60th minute. Two placed on each side, then in the 67th minute Petersen closed the game with his goal which made it 25-20.
Glasgow against the odds
The Scots brilliantly took on Limerick’s match against Munster, an opponent who was by no means easy to tame in defence. Historic fourth final for the Scots, who have won only one Celtic title in their career (in 2015). This is the second final for the Bulls, after the one they lost in 2022.
