Ducati will race in 2025 with two champions of motorcycling, that is Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez. Between the two of them, the Italian and the Spaniard can boast eleven world titles, 8 of which in the premier class, the MotoGP.

There are two world champions for “Pecco” Bagnaia, namely those won at the end of the 2022 and 2023 seasons, always riding the Ducati Lenovo. On the other hand, Marquez’s world champion titles amount to six, with the Spaniard having established himself above all in his time as a Honda rider, between 2013 and 2019 and with Jorge Lorenzo in between.

The latter obtained the world championship in 2015 on Yamaha, but before and after there was a hegemony of Marquez. Now, however, the 31-year-old Spaniard’s star has dimmed a bit, but what better opportunity to shine again? Next year he will have at his disposal what has been the best bike in the entire MotoGP circus for three seasons.

Is everyone happy? Not really, because it seems that the first to be worried about this matter is Pecco Bagnaia himself. Who spoke to the Ducati team principal, Davide Tardozzi, about some of the fears that have arisen in recent weeks.

The two-time reigning world champion is well aware that the much feared situation of the so-called could arise two roosters in a henhouse. Marquez will arrive in the main Ducati team not to act as a sparring partner. His goal will be to win, whether Bagnaia likes it or not.

Who spoke to Tardozzi about the matter, obtaining in response that the Borgo Panigale manufacturer will do everything possible to ensure that harmony reigns in the red box. Tardozzi himself confirmed all this to the press, speaking about how important it is to be able to preserve serenity in the team.

This is known in every motorsport the first rival to beat is his teammate, unless there is a strategic choice that leads to being able to make use of an absolute champion and a shoulder at his side. And Tardozzi himself also spent nice words for Enea Bastianini – who will give up his Ducati to Marquez – and for Jorge Martin.

The Emilian team will lose both, after the two signed respectively with KTM (for Bastianini it is a return after eleven years) and Aprilia. Speaking to Cycle World, Tardozzi showed confidence in his ability to manage two top-level riders without there being any setbacks for the team.
