The 2023/24 sporting season has ended for Benetton Rugby. A historic year for the green and white club for the results obtained not only on the pitch but also off it. There are many relevant data starting from the attendance at the stadium which compared to the 2022/23 season recorded an increase of 39% for a total of 69,252 green and white fans and an average spectator per match of 4,616 people. Entrances which rise to 86,126, if we consider the commitments hosted in Monigo such as the matches of the Italian U20 national team, the Benetton Rugby women’s franchise or the finals of the “Città di Treviso” Mini Rugby Tournament. With a fan satisfaction rating for the stadium experience of 9.6 on a scale with 10 as the highest score.

To the numbers of the Monigo Stadium, we add those originating from the “La Ghirada” sports center and determined by corporate team building, training courses for sports figures, in addition to the established “Città di Treviso” tournaments between minirugby and under 14 for a total of around 40,000 people. Again, analyzing the time interval of a sporting season, i.e. from last July 1st to today, the high degree of affection between Benetton Rugby and its fan base is also demonstrated by the significant increase in followers on the club’s social platforms.

On their Facebook page, the Lions reached 54,708 followers, a 12% increase. The data is even more striking if you look at Instagram, a platform on which the club went from 49,991 followers to 93,311 which is worth +87%, and Tik Tok where there was a +416% compared to last July for a total of 49,308 followers . More limited numbers, but still above the average growth percentage of the reference social network, on X with a surge of 4%.

There is also a clear increase on YouTube, where followers to date are 4,220 (+22%) and LinkedIn 3,330 (+33%). Finally, other useful numbers to strengthen the important number of enthusiasts involved in the green-and-white planet come from the Whatsapp and Telegram channels, 750 and 1,125 registered respectively. And then again the over 10,000 users on Ben TV and 30,000 users subscribed to the Benetton Rugby newsletter. Finally, the official website of the Lions has received visits from 658,948 users (+52% compared to the 2022/2023 season), while the official app boasts 17,207 users to date.

Extraordinary results which allowed Benetton Rugby to receive the “Elixirr Innovation Award”, a prize established this season by the United Rugby Championship and aimed at rewarding the club that has stood out most in its digital strategy aimed at involving fans, breaking down screens and managing to convert the online user into a physical customer and race day attendee.
