The world of football is talking about again Victor Osimhen not for his qualities on the pitch but for episodes that happened off the pitch. The Napoli striker became the protagonist of an extravagant live broadcast on social media in which he vents his anger towards the Nigeria coach, Finish Georgeaccused of not believing in the physical problems that prevented him from being on the field in the last two qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup.
Osimhen was stopped by a collaborator, who snatched his mobile phone from his hand, interrupting the live broadcast in an attempt to prevent the situation from escalating further. But, according to the local press, the Napoli striker’s outburst, combined with the federation’s decision to place a foreign supervisor alongside him, would have played a significant role in the choice of Finidi George himself to resign less than two months after appointment.
