Germany-Scotland, everything is ready in Munich for the opening match of Euro 2024 between the hosts and Steve Clarke’s selection.
There Germany returns to host the final phase of an important event 18 years after the last time, that 2006 World Cup so dear to us Italians. Germany-Scotland, watch out for Mittelstadt’s assists
Without any doubt, it will be Germany who will immediately take control of the game, with Scotland trying to remain compact, to close every possible passing line and at the same time to take advantage of the spaces that the Germans will inevitably leave, playing with the defense always very high.
The Scottish rearguard, however, may struggle to contain Kai Havertz, Nagelsmann’s “false new” and always unpredictable with his insertions. The Arsenal striker has a good eye for goal and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he managed to finish in the scoreboard. As for shots on target, since Germany will create many scoring opportunities, there are several German internationals who could worry Scottish goalkeeper Gunn. From Gundogan – who plays the role of attacking midfielder with Germany – to the aforementioned Musiala and Wirtz. The veteran will also likely become dangerous Kroos, who returned to the national team specifically to play the European Championship (he will then hang up his boots). Among the possible threats for the Mannschaft is the Scottish full-back Robertsonwho will often show up in the opposing half of the field.
Referee Turpin could wave at least a yellow card to RudigerHavertz, McTominay and Gilmour, while the lateral Mittelstadtwho contributed to creating at least 5 clear chances in the friendly against Ukraine, could register at least one assist.
