Inter, Martinez close: the negotiations with Genoa and the compensations

The feeling is that of a deal that Inter and Genoa will close soon. There is still some work to do, but most of it is done: Martinez is close to becoming Simone Inzaghi’s new goalkeeper. The talks between the two clubs are proceeding quickly, so much so that a new summit – after the one two days ago – between the parties is on the agenda for the beginning of next week. The distance between supply and demand is now reduced: 18 million is Genoa’s valuation of the Spaniard, while Inter is stuck at a total proposal of 15 million euros.

At work

In short, there isn’t much left. Two knots still to be resolved. The first concerns the formula: Genoa would like a permanent transfer, Inter is pushing for a deal that provides for a redemption in 12 months. The other issue to be resolved concerns the inclusion of a technical consideration in the deal, which would be very welcome to the Nerazzurri club. There are two names that are being discussed most insistently: Satriano, returning from Brest, and Oristanio, who Cagliari will not redeem. Martinez has obviously already said yes to the prospect of joining Inter. Once he understood that the Bento deal would not be feasible, sporting director Ausilio immediately changed his objective. Having evaluated Mandas (Lazio) and Jorgensen (Villarreal), the choice fell on Martinez. We’re almost at the countdown.
