the Captain falls live and Kylian is injured

It was an eventful evening for both of us. One broke his nose after a play collision with the rocky Austrian defender Kevin Danso, the other fell but nothing was done: it was, in fact, a connection failure, which sent his live social media into a tailspin. We are talking, of course, about Kylian Mbappé, the ace of the French national team which seriously risks missing the next Euro2024 events, and of Captain of the League, Matteo Salvini. Who improvised a live broadcast in which he also spoke about him, during the interval of the match in Dusseldorf. Direct made difficult due to some technical problems.

Mbappé’s appeal and Salvini’s live social media broadcast

But why Salvini, who is also a great football fan – and a huge AC Milan fan – dedicated part of his live social media to Mbappè, who among other things – curiously – has never hidden his sympathies, dating back to when he was a child, for the Rossoneri colours? Simple: politics has something to do with it, elections have something to do with it. It has something to do with it the appeal that Mbappé himself, taking up the invitations and requests of his national teammate, the Inter player Marcus Thuram, addressed to the French at a press conference regarding the upcoming consultations on 30 June and 7 July. Salvini did not like this appeal.

Salvini: “Mbappé respects his vote for Le Pen”. Then he falls

Mbappé, in particular, had invited the French to go to the vote to avoid the risk of a victory of the Rassemblement National, Marine Le Pen’s far-right party. Statement against which Salvini launched himself headlong during his live broadcast: “Mbappé is a great footballer – reiterated the vice-president of the Council as well as minister of Infrastructure and Transport – but respect the vote of the French people, who awarded Le Pen with over 30% of the votes in last Sunday’s European elections and his party.” Curiosity: Salvini was still speaking when the connection dropped and the live broadcast was abruptly interrupted, to the disappointment of the users. Live broadcast which then restarted after a while.

France-Austria, broken nose and problems for Kylian

In the meantime – but obviously there is no correspondence with Salvini’s attacks towards him, it is better to underline it – the drama of Mbappé: broken nose following a very rough aerial challenge with Lens’ Kevin Danso, a circumstance which will force Mbappé to wear a uniform when he returns to the field – perhaps only in knockout matches protective mask similar to the one used by Napoli’s Nigerian center forward, Victor Osimhen. An undoubtedly curious coincidence, wickedly noticed by several users on social media, but which remains just that: a coincidence, indeed.
