As regards the future of the Nerazzurri, there are also important news on the in front of the stadium with Oaktree wanting to give the fans a new home as soon as possible. Already under the Zhang presidency, Inter’s intention was to leave San Siro to build a new proprietary stadium.

In this sense, land had been identified in the area of Rozzano, with the club having already undertaken discussions with the mayor. In the meantime, Giuseppe Sala had contacted a new company, WeBuildto create a dossier for the renovation of San Siro to convince Inter and Milan to stay.

The two companies had shown interest in this possibility and regarding this project, the general director spoke about it today, Massimo Ferretti: “We are at an advanced stage in the realization of the project which will not be definitive, but preliminary. We plan to present it to the mayor and the two companies by the end of June.“ Ferretti considers himself enthusiastic about what has already been done, both from an aesthetic point of view and functional to the requests of the two clubs.

Should construction begin, WeBuild’s general manager confirmed that the renovation plan will take place during the summer breaks and that the first results will be seen by the end of 2025. The goal is to have the stadium ready for the start of the Winter Olympic Games, which will take place in 2026 in Milan, and San Siro will be the place where the inauguration ceremony will be held.

Subsequently, in 2027 the Milanese stadium will most likely host the Champions League final and three years later it will be the turn of the Europeans in Italy and Türkiye. After the meeting at the end of June it will therefore be decided whether to opt for the renovation of the current plant or to build a new one.
