still amazes everyone – Libero Quotidiano

He returned to Sesto on Tuesday to be celebrated by his town. Fresh from Roland Garros, he signed the municipal Golden Book and then headed to the club where he grew up, Sport Sexten, to talk to the kids about his experience. Once again Jannik Sinner he proved to be special for a gesture that did not go unnoticed: he held the umbrella for the president of the province, Arno Kompatscher, while he also signed the municipal Honor Book. And then he also did the same with the mayor Thomas Summerer, who appreciated the gesture, commenting: “He is an extremely normal, simple guy. Just like in Indian Wells, he started holding umbrellas here for other people. When we need him, he is always there and he is truly an exceptional guy ”.

Then Jannik headed to Sport Sexten to talk to the little ones: “I’m happy to be able to help these young tennis players that I will meet later to cradle the dream that I also had, that of becoming number 1 in the world — his words — I am happy with this celebration, with being able to return home to this small community, among these beautiful mountains that surround us.” But what advice can Sinner give to young athletes who dream of emulating him? That of giving vent to their passion, and considering themselves lucky to be able to do so: “When you choose to do something that makes you happy, you have already won. There are families who don’t allow their children to do what they would like. If one can do that who loves has already won.”
