Serie A Elite, Mogliano: important return to coach Caputo’s court

Having gained access to the playoff phase in the recently concluded Serie A Elite, Mogliano Veneto does not want to set limits and has important ambitions for the next championship season. It is no coincidence that the technical staff, headed by Marco Caputo, was confirmed by the club, which also held on to several talented players.

And not only have many remained but some are also returning. This is the case of Edoardo Ferraro who, after two years spent in Rovigo including the 2022/23 season which saw him win the scudetto, now returns to Mogliano, the club for which he wore the colors for eight seasons.

Edoardo Ferraro is a 178cm hooker. for 105 kg. in weight, born in Bassano del Grappa (VI) on 9 May 1996. With Mogliano he played for a long time in the top Italian rugby league, before moving to Rovigo where he remained for two seasons. In his international career he played in the 2015 World Cup with the Italian Under 20 national team.

Assistant Coach Salvatore Costanzo thus welcomed the return of the hooker to the blue and white: “Edoardo Ferraro is a quality player who spent many years in Mogliano, with him in the team I also began my experience in this Club and I have excellent memories of him. He chose to aim to win something by changing clubs and going to Rovigo, as is normal. He now returns to us, he comes from an injury but we will wait for him anxiously because he is a player who will prove to be very important for our objectives.”

These are Edoardo Ferraro’s statements: “I am very happy with the opportunity given to me by Mogliano to return to play with them. A truly special thank you because they caught me in a bad personal moment, I’m injured and for a while I won’t be able to contribute 100% to the good of the team. I’m sure that as soon as possible I will do everything to repay the club and my teammates for their trust and patience. I’m returning after 2 years of experience in Rovigo, and I can’t wait to wear the Mogliano shirt which was my second family for the previous 8 years.”
