Italy runs, or rather literally flies, in the European Athletics Championships. The Italian team has already won 15 medals, 7 of which are gold, and stopping now would be a real shame. On Monday, in fact, you can increase an already extraordinary loot. All eyes will be on the 200 meters final in particular, which will close the evening programme, where Filippo Tortu does not want to disappoint after the best time in the qualifiers.
Monday 10 June, the Italians competing
The fourth day of the European Athletics Championships includes, in the evening session, several finals with concrete chances of a medal for the Italian protagonists. Great hopes in the men’s 200 meters, in particular for Filippo Tortu, who with 20″14 achieved the best time in Sunday’s qualifying. Fausto Desalu and Diego Pettorossi were also present. There was also a lot of anticipation for Luca Sito in the 400 meters after setting the record Italian in 44″75. Sara Fantini seeks glory in the hammer throw, as do Yassin Bouih and Osama Zoghlami in the men’s 3000m steeplechase and Roberta Bruni and Elisa Molinarolo in the pole vault.
