We are talking about Mattia Mosconi, Inter’s striker born in 2007, who on Wednesday in Cyprus became European champion with Italy U17, raising the trophy to the sky as captain. A modern footballer, able to vary across the entire offensive front, quick, gifted with a superb left foot and above-average football intelligence, Mosconi is one of the brightest hopes of the Nerazzurri academy and Italian football.
Massimo Mosconi, Mattia’s father, described him like this to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport: “He started playing when he was five years old. I coached him, I’m a former footballer. He amazed everyone because he continuously scored. Inter? Mattia was 8 years old, we were in Legnano for a tournament. He scored 29 goals in five games, all in one day. We won that competition and there was a Nerazzurri observer on the sidelines. He asked to speak to me, a week later Mattia was in Interello“.
“As soon as his experience with Inter began – remembers father Massimo – He and I promised each other that we would keep track of all the goals. I have a book where I report them precisely. From Pulcini to today he has scored around 730 goals. With my wife we don’t miss a game. If Mattia scores, I write it on my smartphone. Then when I get home I take the pen and write it down“.
