MONDOVI’ (CUNEO)- Lara Berger will be the second foreigner of LPM Bam Mondovì. The German opposite will form a fearsome diagonal with the Austrian director Dana Schmit.
THE CARREER-
Born in Tübingen, in south-western Germany, 35 km from Stuttgart, Lara Berger began her career with VCO Berlin, then played for SG Rotation Prenzlauer Berg, Allianz MTV Stuttgart and finally Dresdner SC 1898. In 2022 she won the championship and the German Cup, as well as a silver medal in the CEV Cup.

In her first experience in a non-German club, Lara Berger is ready for her first season in Italy:
« I expect a championship with high level volleyball, where many teams will fight for the top of the table. I don’t see it‘time to meet my teammates, staff and fans, but also to learn there‘Italian and to improve as a player, both on and off the pitch.”
With her 196 cm height and a remarkable hitting height of 301 cm, Lara Berger brings with her a great deal of international experience:
« I believe that in the last six years in the Bundesliga I have been able to learn a lot from different coaches and more experienced players, and all this has helped me improve my skills which I can’t see‘time to make it available to the team.”
The new pumina’s sporting commitments will continue over the next few months, before she will then join the rossoblù group for the start of preparation:
“In the summer I will be busy with the German Under 23 national team, but I will also have a period of rest to be fresh in August.”
Although far away, Lara Berger has researched our city, which will certainly reserve her a warm welcome.
« I was told that Mondovì is a small and picturesque city, so this will be a new experience compared to the big cities I have lived in so far.
