The opening of the European football championship which will take place in Germany this summer is now ever closer. Our national team is no exception, eager to do well and aware of the fact that defending the title won just three years ago will be no easy feat. On Tuesday evening, Luciano Spalletti’s boys were the protagonists of a friendly match against Turkey, which ended with a 0-0 result. The signs that the coach was expecting have not arrived, and there is still a lot to do in view of the debut.
However, regarding the match scheduled for June 15th against Albania, some very bad news has arrived for the former Napoli coach. In fact, one of the absolute cornerstones of the four-time world champions is forced to withdraw from the first match of the European Championship due to an injury. But this may not even be the worst news. In fact, the player even risks missing the entire competition for this problem, thus putting all his companions in serious trouble.
The whole national team is shaking
In the friendly match played at Dall’Ara against the Turks we did not see them on the pitch Nicolò Barella due to muscle fatigue. However, the midfielder’s problem risks being prolonged further.
Even the Nerazzurri player he is in serious doubt for the debut match against Albania on Saturday 15 June. No small problem therefore for Mr. Spalletti, who must already start thinking about how to replace him.
