Givova Scafati announces that it has signed the Italian athlete Federico Miaschi. Young guard / winger of 200 cm and 90 kg, born in 2000, originally from Genoa, the new yellow-blue member is a very talented winger, equipped with a powerful physique and an excellent long-distance shot, as well as a wide range of movements offensive. He took his first steps in the world of basketball between Chiavari and Cap Genova before entering the orbit of Reyer Venezia, with whom he made his debut in Serie A at just 16 years old. The lagoon club, to let him train, loaned him out, first to Padova (in Serie B, in 2017/18, season he closed with 9.3 points per game), then to Trapani (in Serie A2, in 2018 /2019, championship finished with 8.7 points per game in 22 minutes on average), then in Pesaro (in Serie A, in 2019/20, collecting 16 appearances with 12 minutes spent on the court) and finally in Biella (again in Serie A2 in 2020/21, in which he averaged 13.4 points, with 57% from two). In 2021/22 the first call came from Treviglio, where he averaged 25 minutes, with 12.7 points and 3.8 rebounds. This was followed by an excellent A2 series championship with the UCC Piacenza jersey, characterized by 28 minutes of use, 13.9 points and 33% shooting from the arc, with a “high” personal score in game 4 of the quarterfinals final: 33 points (with 7/10 from three) in 34 minutes. Finally, in the season just ended, he once again wore the Treviglio jersey (A2 series), closing the regular season with 13 points and 2.7 assists on average. He was recently included by the technical commissioner of the Italian national team, Gianmarco Pozzecco, in the list of 30 names from which he will then select the 18 who will take part in the Pre-Olympic tournament, which could take the Azzurri to the next Paris Games.

Statement from the guard/wing Federico Miaschi: «In my career, I had the opportunity to appear in Serie A when I was a young player attached to the first team at Reyer Venezia. Then I got to know her better during the year of covid-19, when I played in Pesaro, where however I arrived with only one year of Serie A2 behind me and perhaps I wasn’t yet ready for the top flight. This time, however, everything is different: I have just finished four consecutive years in Serie A2 in which I have matured, grown and accumulated a lot of experience: I feel ready for the Serie A stage. I am excited and convinced, above all mentally, that I can be a protagonist in the most important championship. Italian. I had a two-year contract with Treviglio, but I anticipated its closure when the possibility of playing at Scafati arose, because the owners were the first of all to look for me insistently and all this interest, combined with the many positive opinions received by those who have already worn the yellow and blue shirt, they persuaded me to sign: I want to repay the trust placed in me. I have already heard from some of the technical staff and I immediately got in tune with the environment, I had an excellent impression. I can not wait to start”.
