From Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June
The “is back”Marco Fratini Memorial”, an interregional tournament by invitation of the youth sector dedicated to the memory of the historic DS of the US Volleyball Senigalliaone of the main actors in the relaunch of the black-blue youth team and who was very attached to the inter-regional tournament at the beginning of the summer which closes the competitive season by strengthening friendly relations with associations that share the spirit of the US.
Seven participating teams: four for the category under 16 and three for the category under 18.
In addition to three black and blue teams (one under 18 and two under 16) they will participate in the trophy with one team for each category. Volleyball Ferrara and the historical friends of the US of Gualdo Tadino with the historic coach Alessandro Papini.
There are two sports facilities involved in the event with the main field being the Campo Boario arena. The program is packed: let’s get started Friday afternoon 14 June at 5pm (at Campo Boario) until late evening and we start again Saturday afternoon 15 June at the same time.
Finals expected Sunday morning June 16th starting at 10.
“We are taking back this tradition which had been interrupted for two years – explains the Technical Director Roberto Paradisi – and which has always represented for us a moment of authentic friendship and the bonding of sporting relationships with those who have the same vision of competitive spirit and the principles of sport as us.
After what we have suffered and what the image of volleyball in our region has suffered with the degrading events that have distorted and delegitimized the regional Serie C championship, this event dedicated to our Marco is a breath of clear air. That which elsewhere has become rarefied.”
