Olimpia EA7 Milano won game 1 of the 2024 LBA Finals in Bologna against Virtus but is working very hard on the market. The new name – which isn’t so new after all – for EA7 Milan is that of Zach LeDay, who already played with the Scarpette Rosse in 2020-2021, the last year in which Milan did not win the Scudetto.
The news was launched by Giuseppe Malaguti, one of the main insiders of Italian basketball who writes for authoritative newspapers:
Probably the American, if he were to actually return under the Cathedral, would replace Johannes Voigtmann, which in recent years in Milan has done well but not very well. We would have expected more from German, especially at a European level.
We’ll see if Zach LeDay will really return to Olimpia EA7 Milano or will remain one of the many negotiations that were well underway but never materialised. We can certainly say that the red and whites intend to make a super team next year to at least return to the playoffs after 2 years of absence.
