For a few days the Austrian team had anticipated that important news would arrive shortly. This afternoon, through an official press release, the world champions announced the name of their second driver who will drive the next Red Bull single-seater for the 2025 championship.
It will always be Sergio Perez to wear the colors of the team led by Christian Horner. The Mexican has in fact signed a new contract lasting two yearswhich will therefore tie him to Red Bull until 2026.

Continuity and stability are important for the Team and both Checo and Max are a solid and successful partnership, which last year secured the Team’s first double in the championship. Checo has had a great start to 2024 with second places in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and Japan and then the podium in China. The last few races have been difficult, c ‘is a convergence on the starting grid, but we are confident in Checo and hope that he returns to the proven form and performance that we often see. Last year was a unicorn season and we will have to work hard to maintain our titles, but we are confident in our lineup and the team as a whole, which is imperative in what promises to be a hard-fought championship this year.”
