Last event of some importance before the Paris 2024 Olympics. From 17 to 23 June The European Diving Championships in Belgrade (Serbia) will hold center stage in a busy calendar for aquatic specialties. After the World Championships in Doha in February, the continental event in Serbian territory, just over a month after the Games in the French capital, will be the competition to face.
An event that will have some sacrifices per time slot or at least the teams will act accordinglyhaving a clear understanding of how much priority should be given to the Five Circles review. For this reason, the technical director of the national diving teams Oscar Bertone he opted for a list of players called up in which the young age and the desire to show off stand out.
It is no coincidence, in fact, that the team will be made up of Stefano Belotti, Matilde, Francesco Casalini, Elettra Neroni, Matteo Santoro and Julian Verzotto. Santoro, undoubtedly, is the most important athlete, as demonstrated by the European and World medals paired with Chiara Pellacani in the mixed synchro from the three-meter springboard.
It will be interesting to ascertain his level of form, like that of the other athletes present at these European Championships with particular characteristics.
