A beautiful Sunday of volleyball, dedicated to the little ones, on National Sports Day.
With the organization of Lpm volleyball Mondovì, Sunday 2 June, the Commercial Park “Mondovicino” welcomed 400 mini athletes who had fun playing on the 21 fields specially set up for the occasion in Piazza Cerea.
The 2024 edition of the VolleyS3 minivolley Master “Valter Turco Memorial” saw the participation of 17 companies affiliated with the Fipav Cuneo-Asti Territorial Committee: Volley Savigliano, VBC Mondovì, Rs Volley Racconigi, Asd Centallo Volley, Asd volley Cherasco, Vicoforte volley Ceva, Vbc Dronero Dragons, Asd Volley Roero, Libertas Borgo San Dalmazzo, Volley Langhe Asd, Vbc Savigliano, Ad Pallavolo Cervere, Volley Saluzzo, Villanova Volleyball, Pgs El Gall, Vbc Caraglio, as well as the organizer Lpm volleyball Mondovì.
In total they were 84 the teams that colored and enlivened the first Sunday of June: 30 first level S3 Volleyball teams (2015-2016-2017), 40 second level S3 Volleyball teams 2012-2013-2014), as well as 4 U13 Male 3vs3 teams and 11 U12 Female 4vs4 teams, for a total of 21 fields specially set up by around fifteen volunteers.
“Our Committee believes a lot in the promotional spirit of the VolleyS3 activity. Today 400 children played for the sake of playing, without winners or losers.” – explains Paolo Bertone, President of the Fipav Cuneo-Asti Territorial Committee – “For us it is important to allow the mini athletes to be able to learn our sport while having fun, creating friendships and sharing a genuine sporting passion with their peers. Precisely for this reason, as has become tradition, we rewarded all the girls and boys with souvenir medals , supplied and customized by Aime Coppe.”
For the setting up of the playing area, the collaboration of Montaldo Giorgio Srl was fundamental, which kindly made two large tractors available, which were used to “pull” almost 200 meters of cables which made it possible to create the dedicated fields at VolleyS3.
While the sun accompanied almost the entire day, the participants were able to enjoy some shade under the gazebos provided by the CRC Foundation, Marabotto Moto and Mattia Germone, president of the La Funicolare association. Thanks to the great collaboration of the entire Park Mondovicino, the Outlet, the Shopping Center and Ipercoop, all participants were able to have lunch at a discounted price at numerous refreshment points and received many gadgets, as a souvenir of a nice day of fun.

We found incredible collaboration, availability and courtesy that were truly not to be taken for granted. I would also like to thank the 50 volunteers who set up the fields, made agreements with the other clubs, organized the match scoreboards, refereed and scored the points, managed the awards ceremonies, etc. I can only be proud of this extraordinary “team”, made up of people full of passion and who make all the events we organize possible. Finally, I would like to thank our partners, in particular Banca Alpi Marittime, Lpm prefabbricati, Vincenzo Pilone, Fondazione CRC and S.Bernardo for their support towards the activities of our sports reality linked to the youth and promotional sector.”
