Juve closes with a win. The curve feeds the ghost of Allegri

Turin More than the match, the side dish. With the victory of the Italian Cup to celebrate but without Massimiliano Allegri due to the well-known events. With the now expected arrival of Thiago Motta on the bench and a third place to be achieved on paper very easily given the defeat of Bologna’s Marassi on Friday evening. And also – why not – Alex Sandro’s 327th presence in Juventus, who (with the captain’s armband) thus reaches Pavel Nedved in first place among foreigners without however being able to overtake him, since his contract is expiring and he is leaving. As a corollary of all this, in addition to the awarding of Di Gregorio (the next Juventus player) as the best goalkeeper in the championship, a Juventus-Monza match was essentially useless for the ranking implications and which also represented the last time on the Brianza bench of Raffaele Palladino, the who had made his debut on a Serie A bench against the Signora: what emerged, in the presence of the Curva Sud partially on strike but protagonist of some pro Allegri chants, was an entertaining match and won 2-0 by the Bianconeri thanks to the goals in the first half by Chiesa and by Alex Sandro.

Montero, as expected, launches Fagioli from the first minute and chooses the trident without Vlahovic but with Milik supported by Yildiz and Chiesa. Monza gets off to a better start (Perin does well on D’Ambrosio’s header), but Juve is there: Fagioli, starting for the first time after the disqualification, hits the crossbar with a shot from the edge, then Izzo almost saves a dangerous ball on the line after an initiative by Yildiz. The Bianconeri are aggressive, Monza makes a mess in some outings and Chiesa takes advantage with a strong move and a winning left-footed shot. After a couple of minutes the second goal arrives: Fagioli’s corner and a close touch (with the shoulder, rather than the head) from Alex Sandro, who thus ends his adventure in Turin in the best possible way.

A second half follows in which the Brianza team (with Djuric giving weight to the attack) tries to get back into the game, but crashes into the eternal Juventus third goalkeeper Pinsoglio: Chiesa is denied a brace from the post, Fagioli paints an assist for the same number 7, Alex Sandro enjoys the standing ovation and Djalo even makes his debut.

After six draws in a row, Juve thus regains victory and finishes third in the standings, then indulging in the embrace of its people by celebrating the Italian Cup: lap of honor for everyone, greetings, kisses and see you next season. When Thiago Motta is on the bench and the Lady will try to change her skin.
